Ever felt like Rapunzel? Locked away but have so much creativity shining through? Fear not, ByteBlitz Buddies! Just like Rapunzel needed a guide to find her way, you or your team’s talents need a bit of knowledge management magic to light up like lanterns in Tangled!

As a Business Counselor, my role is like Flynn Rider, guiding MSMEs to see the light of the lanterns up close and into the dazzling world of KM, but with business plans instead of a frying pan!

Picture a scene where ideas freely flow, like countless shining lanterns that open endless possibilities! KM benefits DTI by fostering knowledge exchange, capturing expertise, and maximizing utilization of these between entrepreneurs, employees, government agencies, and other stakeholders. This tangled interchange of ideas leads to dazzling innovative products, services, and business practices that will propel Filipino businesses to shine brightly and move upward. 

Untangling Threads: Journey beyond the Barriers 

to Knowledge Management

Getting rid of internal silos is the largest obstacle to the DTI's KM adoption.  To promote a truly collaborative workplace, we must make sure information is openly shared between departments and backed with enough funding.  Additionally, a culture change within the DTI is necessary to change attitudes from information hoarding to knowledge sharing.

Knowledge Shared is Power Multiplied!

Unlike Mother Gothel who selfishly hoarded knowledge and confined Rapunzel in a tower, I believe that “knowledge sharing is empowerment”. By sharing our expertise, we empower others. By empowering others, we elevate ourselves in the process. Knowledge sharing fosters collaboration, builds trust, and creates a supportive community. Think of ourselves as glowing lanterns – the knowledge and experiences that we have can illuminate the path of others. 

Just as Rapunzel found her true identity through the tangled web of her own story, let us continue to explore the wonders of knowledge management, lighting our way to brighter distances and unlocking the treasures of innovation along the journey.
